Is there something in the air that makes car drivers blind to motorcycles, 6 30 pm Sunday just having a nice slow ride round enjoying the sunny weather, then bang.

A car came straight over the round about, hit the left side of my bike without even bothering to stop to see if I was ok, lucky for me a young lad on one of them 125cc Hoover things! Went after the car and go the reg, now I’m just waiting, waiting, waiting, for PLOD to come to my home for the details.

Beware every body, they say that things happen in threes, 1st Les, 2nd Me,3rd ??????

I’m fine thanks mate. The bike needs a new rear tyre and, maybe an exhaust can. I gave the police the cars details, there were going to come to my home to take a statement but, guess what, they never turn up so I’ll be phoning them today.

Gald you are OK Joe

There were a few about on Sunday. Must have been the nice weather.

No. 1 En route to Abegele with mate as a pillion ( picking his shiny new bike up) and Daz following - Caravan in front of me signals right but then tracks left to drop down onto A55. He then signals left 500 yrds later but pulls in front of me by tracking right . I then realise that the indicators are wired wrong and he'll being doing this on his entire journey . God help us.

No. 2 In Abergele- woman driving Clio signals right . I drop back a bit as there is nowhere to turn right? Sure enough brakes come on and she makes a graceful swerve to the right before turning left!!! down the next side street.

No. 3 Following mate home another Clio ( new, sporty and with a flash twat driving - loose term! ) decides my early signalling and gentle move to the outside lane of dual carriage way is going to be ignored/rewarded by a shunt. He goes past driving one-handed and TEXTING with the other.
I accelerate up behind him and follow intending to remonstrate with him after overtaking. I dont get the chance 'cos he decide a big bike with loads of lights on ( no main beam tho') shouldn't follow so close so he jams the anchors on ( at 80mph) to "scare me off"! I get past and quickly flicks the v's and shoot off before he does anything even more stupid/dangerous

TOSSERS!

Got my repair estimate for the GS today, £3083.83 :( now I just have to wait for the post office to pay up

Bloody hell Les he must have hit it hard, did he reverse over it a few times for good measure.

How long before you get the go ahead from the post office.

Going to claim through my insurance then get the legal bit of Carol Nash to claim it back of the PO, should be a lot quicker that way, plus they have to get the cost of the loan bike and my helmet got chipped.
Looks like the cost of sending a letter will be going up

Insurance company contacted me today, hopefully things are moving and I can send this Bandit back. :)

Good to know your ok Joe, but but these things really are a pain in the a##e and most times literally !!.

Police come to my house this evening, at long last, only took them three days. The ball is rolling now, police said the driver of the car will be done for failing to stop. The damage to my bike is not as bad as first thought, Just a flat tyre.

Wow..

Hi Guys,, i am away for a bit and seems half the GS riders in this part of the country have had collisions..

Les what happened?

Sadly its not only car driver with no brains.. on sunday sat at the horseshoe having a cup of tea.. started raining badly and group of rider came in.. 20 mins later they went out.. one trying a burnout in the car park, then shot off down the hill at speed.. 10 minutes later a Cop Car goes by, with blues ans twos..

Biker comes in and relates how a yellow sports bike, now in half just down the hill.. description matches burntout group. Rider on back board and being taken off in ambulance.. cold tyres, wet road..
I passed the wreckage on the way home.. ouchy.. can only hope he didnt injure himself too badly.
