I use my P990 with a Bluetooth hand-free car kit. The car kit has it's own volume control.

How do I set the phone to always use 'full volume' when connecting to the hands-free? It seems to reset itself after every call to a middle value - I then can't turn up the hands-free enough to be able to hear the call properly - so have to open the phone and turn it up manually (which rather defeats the purpose of the hands-free!).

And before any says, I have RTFM!

Ok just had a look at mine (it does similar, but i dont have the same issues as you in terms of hearing it).

Fact is, you cant alter the settings on the phone itself since as you say it resets to a default value each call. Can you adjust the bluetooth to always accept in full volume?

Blame HSE/and the legal profession for this one :spitfire

Lost count of the times coppers have moaned and whinged about the volume levels on there radios same answer for them too :spitfire

sorry :D

Greg,
not sure which version of software you have installed but my P990i froze recently and had to go back to SE to get fixed. They installed the latest software and now whever I make a call the left rocker switch on the flap is used to swap to the speaker from the earpiece. This was previously a pita excercise which resulted in my hanging up on so many peole I stopped doing it. Its great now. Still a BIG phone though:(

regards

Andy
