Hi All,

Anyone got one of these phones, and use it on the bike ? Are they good ?

Cheers,

Andy

My son had one as a free up-grade. Took it back after two days as it kept locking up and he found the menus really slow to load. Swapped it for a Sony phone with a 2meg camera and bought a small mp3 player from Argos for £35 :)

If it's the K750i he's got (also has the 2MP camera) you can put music on that one too. I bought a 1GB card for mine and have about 250 songs at a time on it straight from iTunes plus loads of room left over for photos (which are very good quality). No lock ups in the few months I've had it.

I think they're pretty much the same phone (K750i and W800) but with different buttons and a bigger memory card supplied with the W800.

Doh :( , just checked the paperwork and the phone that he took back was the Motorola "ipod" phone not the Sony. But as you say the quality of the pictures on the Sony K750i that he swapped it for are brilliant :)

K750i and W800 are the same phone with different software...but you can put the w800i software on the 750 :)

and Kev is stupid :P

and fit 800 covers on a 750 so it looks like an 800.

years ago this would have been about bikes - now its about phones :mmmm

I went to see the AutoCom boys at the NEC and mentioned that I was thinking of getting one of these phones, and did they do a cable for it. The guy wasn't sure, but said if they didn't then they would make up a cable for me :clap

Is this a direct download from the SE site? I have the 750i and it's crap, constantly unlocking itself, freezing or switching off. Great camera though  My girlfriend has the W800 and it's faultless.

Cheers Tuned In, I think I might wait for a download update for the W800 from the official site and try that in the K750 :thumb

I've just bought the W800... great phone :)
Used the mp3 player on my GS together with the orignal earphones (which are very good) working just fine. Used it on a 4 hour trip and still a lot of battery left. Tried the radio also but that didnt work too good(maybe bad signal)
One of the advantages with this phone is that you can use whatever earphone you like as long it has 3.5 mm jack plug.

yea but you can't answer calls with the standard headphone setup on the bike...the mike is in the connection piece for the headphones.
