Sore Clutch.....

Just got back from a 26 hour non stop run from Southern Spain to the UK on my HP.

Problem, North of Bordeaux my clutch went soggy. I checed the fluid level, hick looks fine. I managed to hobble back to the UK some 400 miles without crashing the box too much but last night after I let the engine cool righ down before the ferry ride this morning, started the bike and the clutch was fine!

Got off the ferry ar Portsmouth and afew miles down the A3, clutch has gone on holiday again. I suspect air somewhere, anybody have any ideas???

Wow, mucho qudos...

Thats one a hell of a drive!!

The longest & fastest one stop hop I did was St Tropez - Calais in 11hrs & 30min on an R100RS way back in the early 80's.

just came back on HP2 MM from annecy nearly 1000 miles on wednesday in 1 go (ferry crossing).
Left 4am, home and curry ordered 7.30 pm.

clutch pushrod spinniing in slave cylinder

try pumping the clutch and see if you can get it to disengage probably better to try on motorway (big straight line)

it'll go back misbehaving in metres so don't be expecting it to last

the bearing in the cylinder rusts to the pushrod and makes it spin I had this on a couple of 1150's and 2 ducati's
