So I really didn't want to be another ABS statistic but I'm not sure where to go to next.
I bought the bike a few weeks ago and have given it a major overhaul.
Everything was done to it by myself. I went through this forum and found the doc instructions on stripping down the ABS pistons.
I stripped them down, it was relatively straight forward. There was a lot of gunk in the front cylinder system, the rear was crystal clear.
Cleaned everything and reassembled, reset at pin 2 for 8 seconds + 60 seconds but unfortunately it did not work, fault remains.
ABSii went on the bike a few years ago according to the old owner.
A new closed cell battery was fitted just before the sale and I have a solar panel trickle charger that keeps the battery topped up, cant remember of the top of my head, but I think it is near 12.8v... will recheck this evening.
Still no abs on the bike. Can anyone suggest a trouble shooting procedure to test for anything else? Wiring, sensors etc. Electronics are hard to source here (in dubai), can anyone suggest a code reader that I can use with bits in my shed? I have a digital multimeter and I think it is it is fault 6 or 7 based on voltage spikes, but as noted by some people here, the digital multimeter is not so accurate, cant find an analogue voltmeter or led/resister combo.
Any logical steps, I can follow? I dont want to replace all sensors unless there is an issue with them etc.
Thanks in advance for your help
