Only Duckhams R was vegetable based.

Castrol R ?
Remember why i didn't use it, was told you could not mix with any other oil ?
It was Duckhams copy of Castrol R. I used some in my race car in the late 70s when I couldn't get hold of any Castrol R at short notice.

I'll never understand the logic of paying £10k+ for a bike and then penny pinching on oilI'm not suggesting that people should use overpriced, over specified bike oils, but if there was a choice between say Duckhams (which I've negative reports about) and another brand (Rock Oil in my case) for a few quid more, I know which I'd use...

CVH "Black Death" can easily be prevented by changing the oil occasionally. not something that was always done IME, though my CVH XR3 always got serviced properly and had no black death.
i have to wonder if it really got done on that vito?![]()
it has done 220,000 miles more and cam box is spotless and i'll never understand the logic of paying outrageous sums for an oil specced higher than recommended by the manufacturers.
you sound like a marketing man's dream.

I feel compelled to ask if you've got shares in Duckhams?![]()

so any vehicle using duckhams should have a cam box full of crap then?
doesn't happen. that's personal experience from the person that actually changes the oil, not speculation based on seeing an oil drum in a taxi garage in walsall.

I've got 3 litres of Tesco Stripey 20/50 in my shed but it doesn,t have the spec on the bottles anyone know ?
