Hi Tobermory,

Welcome to the site. I had the 1100 until last year. I am in no way qualified to help you in this technical matter. I can lend you the use of a garage if you don't have one. You need to subscribe so you can PM me.

If you decide to get professional help you could try Mobitec who will come to your door and have been highly recommended. St Eptoe is a great guy but it is a long way to Kingston from Romford and the public transport round there is poor. Japandgerman bikes in south London have the kit for balancing BMW, but I have had mixed results with them. You could also try one of the courier places like Chas Bikes in Southwark.

You could also come to the North London meet this Thursday. for details look here. You can moan all you like there, someone might even listen Not sure if Physiojo and I will make it yet, but we hope to.

Don't worry too much about the bike they are almost indestructable. Ride safe.

... Bemer Bikes who are fairly close to you; no expensive showroom to support Handy for bits as they are primarily a BMW breaker, but they do servicing and odd jobs too.

Once you get sorted the 1100GS is a fantastic bike, If you'r ever in sunny
Wales look up Mike in Cardiff motorrad, he'll get you sorted and is a top bloke.
