sound problem

Dont know if any one can help. When i play the music on the 550 it sounds as if they are singing with their head in a bucket of water. Its all distorted and warbly. Also when you get the voice for traffic direction that cuts in, the sound is very very low. You cannot hear it with the engine running and only just about when the engine is not running. I have it wired to a Autocom pro avi 300. Sometimes its Ok and sometimes not. Any advice would probably stop me throwing it through a window.

I'm pretty certain that, when I had that problem before, the solution was to use the next input in from the end. I think that the GPS input is mono and it certainly sounds like you're getting classic "stereo signal into a mono socket" problems. Although your Zumo is a GPS, it needs stereo.
