Soundbomb split, mounting options - 2010 Gs TC

I’m just in the process of mounting one of these horns, wiring presents no issues as it’ll be driven by an eZcan.

I’ve mounted the compressor where the emissions canister sits on US Models. It I’m struggling to find anywhere for the actual sound unit.

I might mount it where I’ve put the compressor and put that somewhere else.

Solutions please.

This may not be very helpful....but....I think a standard soundbomb should fit on the headstock in place of the original horn. If you already have the split soundbomb you could see if the mounting brackets sold for fitting to the 1300gs will work with your engine /clutch screws. I have just fitted the split one to my 1300 and it integrated surprisingly well. Have a look at Nippy Norman and the split to the 1300gs... sorry if this is no use whatsoever

Sorted.

Compressor mounted where the emissions canister sits on US spec bikes and horn mounted just under / to side of beak hung off light bracket.

On My LC,

I mounted the compressor on the LH side of the fairing / cockpit area, there is space, and the horn off the crash bar under the beak

Normally on the LC, you can mount the horn between the front forks , but if its a low model it will get smacked by the front end under full compression
 
I put the sounder under the right hand side of the tank and the compressor between the abs unit and the throttle cable junction box.
