Anyone know a (UK) source of good self-adhesive reflective tape? Looking for something better than the stuff from Halfords to tart-up the panniers on my 1150GS

TIA

Richard

Cyberglow

Try these guys, I've used them for both red and white reflective tape. Not cheap but very good stuff.

Sorry about the link not working; a bit of cut and paste needed.

Go to: products/self adhesive/tapes

Hope this helps

Get '3M diamond Grade' tape - it's available in red, yellow(amber) and white.

If you want white 'bendy' reflective tape, get 'SOLAS' stuff - it's thinner than Diamond grade, so you can stick it to non-flat surfaces.

Both products use glue that doesn't go off after a while, like cheap sticky tape.

Hi Richard,
Steve at "Humvee Graphics" has designed a range of reflective stickers
for the `GS`,worth alook :thumb2.

Red reflective tape for the rear...I got about 10m for asking at an HGV trailer repairer. They have rolls of the stuff and when I asked for a couple of short lengths for the rear of the topbox and panniers they just gave me an end of roll.
Each "stripe" of the corrugations on my panniers has a length of it on - the tape is EXACTLY the same width as those corrugations too.:D

This is the stuff you see going round the edges of the back of HGV trailers - not SOLAS standard, but road reflective standard, it is quite stiff so you can only do straight runs. Glue is industrial strength. Line it up carefully, it doesn't like coming off to be moved. ;)

Just another shout for Humvee Graphics. They have kits for BMW panniers, white chevrons for the front, yellow for the side and red for the rear.
Also does lots of other reflective sets for BMW's.
