Had a quote from Holidaysafe (Which recommended insurer fwiw) for worldwide motorcycle insurance, excluding USA & Canada, for 31 days only cover, £172.85 for the Premium policy, any type of bike, any engine size etc.

Anybody else any info?

Went to a local travel agent yesterday to see if they could get a better range of flight prices than me.

Dublin - LHR - Buenos Aires with BA = £1045

Dublin - Boston - Dallas - Buenos Aires with American Airlines = £615

It will take a fair bit longer taking the latter option, but there again I can have a break between flights to stretch the legs and get some beer and grub. Plus the £400 saving will come in handy.

yeah I've had a look on skyscanner a few times now and it appears to get a reasonably priced flight I think you may have to factor in an extra day or so for an overnight stop somewhere.
currently Air France will get you there in 16hrs for £757 from Manchester.

Good info. I'd be up for the £615 one, it's just that if one flight's delayed or whatever it f**ks everything up then. I was talking to Chris recently about flights and we're not sure which airport is going to be closest to the warehouse where the bikes are going yet. I know there's at least 3 airports in BA, the most popular seems to be the one with the EZE abbreviation.

EZE,Ezeiza is the international airport where all the big boys fly to.
The pissy little one in town is mainly local airlines, though they do have jet traffic. I would guess that most the US airlines fly into EZE,as do all the European carriers.

Make sure you take in the market at San Telmo based around the Plaza Dorrego.Sit in the square watching tango dancers whilst downing a cold Quilmes. And if you want the best steak you will ever eat, head to El Establo at Paraguay 489,for the 1 kilo T Bone.

I'm pretty certain there won't be a direct flight from Glasgow or Edinburgh so I may end up going through Manchester. Which day do you think you'll be going?

Hi Bernard
how much did you get this flight for may I ask?
I am thinking of flying from Manchester but if Heathrow is significantly cheaper I could get a train down to heathrow fairly easy.
its not like I'm going to be carrying loads of bags with me just hand luggage as everything will be on the bike in the container

as I already posted Air France from Manchester will get you to BA in 16hrs for £757
