Help, I just purchased an SP111 from Macro and I am trying to load a map selection to the data card.
As soon as I select the upload icon the software comes up with a fault message and requests that the message be sent by e-mail to techsupp@garmin .com which I have done.
The map selection is within the capacity of the data card.
The mapsource software then closes down as soon as I select the OK button
The error message reads as follows:-
At: 11/2/2003 12:26:01 AM (UTC)
OS: Windows 2000 Service Pack 2
Processor: Pentium Pro or Pentium II, RAM: 130544 KB
USB_EZUSBDEVICE.CPP-174-4.10
Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
I have tried the unit in the car and it immediately tells me that it can not read the data card, however it does work using the units base map.
My guess is that either I haven’t installed the USB programme drivers correctly or the data card is F#&#@d, do these data cards have a habit of going wrong.
P.S. The data card is inserted the right way round.
Perhaps the best bet is to try someone elses data card.
Any thoughts
