Spanish Police bikes

I'm over in sunny spain at the moment and have been quite surprised at the popularity of the 650 over here - the Marbella police use them, and I've seen the odd F650 Dakar so far.

Nobody over here is into any sort of protective jacket. So many riders - >75% in shorts and t shirts. It is 35 degrees C mind you.

Go 4 km further to San Pedro and they ride big scooters and Hornets.

Policia Local i.e. employed by the town halls. Plenty of them around and about. Guardia Civil Traffico use 1200 RT's and they always ride in pairs. Again, plenty of them out on the road.
