AFAIK our Government couldnt give a fuck about in-ear monitors or riding with audio...........................yet.
That is until our Continental Cousins start giving them yet more ideas to tax the (two-wheeled) motorists.

I only ever listen to music (or audio books) on long days on the motorway. It makes the time fly by and I'm sure it keeps me far more alert. Without it, every minute lasts an hour.I simply don’t see the attraction of listening to music when riding. I’ve never done it, so blissfully unaware of the benefits.
I do wear ear plugs though
On one memorable occasion, riding from Channel Tunnel to Limoges (about 8 hrs riding), I had to ride up and down a couple of autoroute junctions because I was just getting towards the end of a good book (Liberty by Garrison Keillor).
Funny isn't it. Since Autocom arrived and the technology that's followed I've always listened to music. It's the icing on my motorcycling cake. However, when it comes to the spoken word whether it be books or radio talk, I just cannot take one word of it in. There again, with the Senas I can concentrate on my riding whilst talking and listening to complete and utter bollox with my riding pals. As I said, funny innit.
I’m kinda with Att on this one (except the death part?! lol). If you get bored on a bike, you’re riding too slow!! Bikes excite me and I avoid boring situations on them (like motorways). That’s what cars are for. Very few of us have bikes as their only mode of transport. Those that do have my utmost respect and can listen to music if they want! 
Invaluable, I should think that all modern hearing aids are now Bluetooth compatible.
They’re great for pairing with your iPhone so you can hear Waze/Google maps etc. whilst driving, Spotify, Audible, and of course phone calls, but definitely not for wearing under a crash helmet.
In regard to listening to music whilst riding, absolutely not, as I prefer to concentrate on what I’m doing. I can deal with satnav instructions but that’s all my elderly brain can handle.

If you do long distance travel, long boring stretches of motorway are pretty much inevitable. Especially when you live in the UK.
Again: I flatly refused to adopt intercoms or any form of audio (earbuds or anything else) for a couple of decades riding but, when I reluctantly tried, I was surprised how it really helps with boredom or (somehow) tiredness on long distance (motorway) travel. I do not use any music when properly "riding", ever.

Bluetooth so close to your brain....Has there been any long term tests to understand the effects of this? I would be wary of using this tech until I found out how it could affect the largest electrical organ in your body.
Most of the UKGSer demographic have no need to worry about any long term effects of Blue Tooth radiation.
I’m rapidly approaching 77 years of age, and after so many years of self abuse any potential danger of Bluetooth damage to my brain is way down the list!
