Out of the frying pan
... I was browsing elsewhere in this fine forum and came across an story by a UK biker that he'd been pinched by the Spanish Dibs and fined 105Euros on the spot for having head set, connected by cable, to an onboard Autocom.

... Apparently Spain forbids all head sets, including 'in-lid'. Here is the comment from 'Ideal Spain'

The use of a mobile telephone, other than a true hands-free, whilst driving is now banned in Spain, even at the side of the road. You have to pull off the road completely away from any traffic. You may also not have any device in your ears to listen to music or your mobile phone etc., only allowed is something for enhancing your hearing, i.e. a deaf-aid.

... Any professionals out there care to illuminate?

There's a thread about this already on the forum, from a few months ago.

... I've read that and another, in which the rider was fined. I wanted to know if any of our communications 'professionals' had any official opinion as to whether a hard-wire Autocom breaks Spanish handsfree law (Bluetooth does!) and whether in-helmet speakers are also verboten :nenau
