Here's a set of plugs, from a standard 1150GS, original air filter, cat , standard can, no cat code mods -

and a set from an 1150GS with a Y piece, remus, K&N, cat code mod -

Both sets of plugs are NGK, standard bike set done 12K miles, other set done 11K miles -

Can you tell which is from what bike ?

The gap(is there one) looks a bit iffy on the lower left plug.

Just the way it looks in the picture - there is no gap difference between the plugs

Come on, come on, it's tomorrow now!!!

Left is with the cat code mod - coz they look like they have been running a little richer (more brown residue) on the electrode. The ones on the right look leaner which suggests the cat code was doing it' job and avoiding excessive emmissions. ......am I right ? :P

i always take my plugs out after every ride and clean them.

those are a disgrace - all rusty and nasty.

can you claim for the rust under warranty ?

:D

The ones on the right look like their running a bit rich at tickover and weaker further through the rev range.

Ones on the left look about right so I bet the left ones are CAT code mod, K&N etc

My GSA ones look really weak with the standard setup.

Plugs on the left are from my bike - Y piece etc -

Plugs on the right are from darkhorse daves bike - bog standard set up

Thank God!! The answer at last.

I'm surrounded by Proplus and Redbull.

Hopefuly I'll get up for work tomorrow after a nights sleep.
