Had to replace the 2 wee bulbs inbehind my speedo yesterday. Thought it would be straight forward to get replacement bulbs. Little did i know that the bulbs are a nightmare to get and seeing i needed them in a rush i had a bit of a panic on!

I tried every single auto sparks, motorbike place (including BMW) near me and not 1 available. Just by chance i met a mechanic i know who gave me the Honda part - see pic and he said these are easily sourced. So just to let you all know how to get them if in a panic :thumb

you should try it on an RT! they are T5's by the way available from the bay

Ones of a slightly lower wattage are easily available and cheap from any car part shop. They produce enough light to give good illumination too.
Tried blue LED and they looked super but going along it was hard to make out the figures so went back to bulbs. Red one may be clearer.

With the red ones its a little difficult to see the actual odemeter. Rest looks cool.

Blue or green would be good to.

I used the slightly lower wattage ones - available from your local Halfrauds :thumb

It seem to remember that it took a surprising amount of dismantling to get to the little sods on my 1100 :D

I could get the 1.2w bulbs no problem but wasn't sure if they would fit or be bright enough.
It was a screen off and cluster and speedo removed so bit of a curse for bulbs. 20 minutes
