I need to extend the speedo wiring and was wondering if anyone might know,

1) What if anything the connector plug is called?
2) Where can I get a male and female set of connectors?

Cheers

Can't help but its getting very interesting, what are you up-to I wander

I could have the same issue soon depending on if we move them after the new cockpit is made.

Was thinking of starting a thread but not sure how much interest their is in a low budget (compared to say cole) xchallenge remodel. Latest idea is fitting a 12gs headlight (with hids) and screen with fabricated cockpit

Sent from my iPhone whilst driving and even with autocorrect I can't spell!

Mike cbrx or whatever will know. He's done abs removal and I think replaced this component.

:blast Mike will do just fine:thumb

I can help, but its not good news.

I tried really hard to track down these connectors and ended up finding that they are specially made for BMW and are not available to buy anywhere.:nenau

All you can do is cut the wire and extend the cable that way while continuing to use the existing connectors.

If anyone has found a place where these can be obtained Please post it here as I would like some too.

Thanks Mike.
Although extending won't be a problem as I don't imagine it will ever go back to standard.

What gauge/type of wire do I need to get and where is the best place to get it from?

Look here...... You need the 0.5mm squared thin walled cable. I suggest you keep to the original colour code for the wires when ordering.
