Speedo issue.

But of a strange one this

i bought a EURO import bike about 4 yr ago as crash damaged
minor panel damage
bought a set of clocks from sherlocks so would read mph
used bime on and off as still had 1150.
Anyway
went away at the weekend
speedo works great
except odometer and trip meters all register 1/2 exact mileage

any ideas

mph is perfect

ive got a similar issue but the other way around!!
bought second hand clocks off fleabay for my rebuild, but they must be foreign, as speedo is correct but mileometer is about twice what it should be.
perhaps foreign bikes has a different gearing in the speedo drive?

Maybe a BMW dealer can reset something in the bike's CPU.
