On the last few rides I've become aware of an odd movement with the speedo needle. For instance when riding in a 30mph restriction, the needle can jump suddenly by approximately 2mph. When it happens the movement is a definite jump and not smooth as one would expect. Has anyone else seen this? Also I've noticed the needle quivers as engine vibrations (engine at 6-7K) pickup; not sure if this is related.

If the bike is within a warranty period take it to the dealers, if not, ignore it. I always use the satnav as I can't see the speedo properly.

I would send it back to BMW if it's within warranty or leave it until a service if it isn't. I wouldn't even know if my gsa had a needle issue as I've never looked at the speedo there as it's so shit. I check the digital display for speed and the analogue needle for revs.
