Speedo packed up

Hi

The speedo on my 1150GS stopped working last night. I had reset the trip metre using the small wheel on the dash so don't know if thats effected anything? Any ideas guys?

Hi

Does the 1150 have cable drive, on the 1100 the cable weak point is where it bends to the housing on the front wheel. Over time this can break, easy fix renew the cable.

sounds like the cable. had mine go on holiday on the brenner pass in austria last year. cheap part,easy fix-just remove the screen and flyscreen to get to the speedo. bit fidly but an easy job.

Yes it does. That's got to be the first place to look if the speedo's not working. Presumably it's the whole unit (speedo, trip counter and odometer) that's stopped working?

Thanks and yes the whole unit has stopped working so will check the cable.
