Dear Sirs/Madam, I am writing concerning the above adventure. Perhaps some of you may already be aware of Spencer's trip or have come across his website. I am dropping a line to Kent Bike Clubs to enquire whether any of your members would be willing to 'ride out' to Biddenden on Sunday 1st November to add support to what we hope will be a rousing send-off. I must state that although, you will have noticed, his trip is being undertaken not only for his own achievement but for 'Save the Children', we are not in anyway requesting anything from you other than your support. At the very least you will be on BBC TV, on film company footage and of course papers etc. It should be an exciting morning. 'Take off' is at 12 noon so gathering of bikes I imagine will be about 11 o'clock.
