Hi all, I'd appreciate your help on this one. I've got a '98 1100GS, 37k. Took it out for a long ride 2 weeks ago, very mucky so gave it a good wash off (car-shampoo, brush and hosepipe). 5 days later changed my battery (old one was on the way out) and had problems ever since with it been choked and spluttering .

Discounted so far:

1. Not the side stand switch (it's already removed and by-passed);
2. Air filter's clean and dry, well clean enough anyway.
3. Cleaned the plugs & WD40'd the plug caps.
4. Took it out for a run to see if it would clear, cleared a little when it was warm, and a lot at higher speeds only.
5. Replaced the plugs - no difference.

Any ideas??? :confused:

An unseated throttle cable on one side. Here's what it looks like on an 1150:
