Where does the strap go to on the old touratech screen extender, mine has a funny metal bracket on the end it cannot go on the bottom of the screen?

It slips between the clock surround and the "Silver screen"....

Yes it does, does look as so it won't but it does and it works!. Very stable but |i found it stops rain being blown off the visor so take it off when it rains (1minute job). Put a bit of tape under tghe clips on the top as these can scratch the screen
