looking to buy a gs1300 trophy.
the bike will see a lot of off road use so ideally I would like the sports suspension option.
there's very few used bikes with this option so I'll likely have to buy one new.

the other option would be buy a lightly used bike and spend the savings made on aftermarket suspension. any thoughts on this?

I had maxton shocks on a previous gs and they were mega.

very few know the sport suspension option is out there - a main road benefit is its 20 mm higher so more ground clearance for the sticky out cyls

in use however its all muddled up and still suffers very similar issues as the bikes with the stupid irritate as you ride, ride height madness.

it has too little rear compression damping in dynamic pro - front seems OK - forget the joke 1 to 5 fiddle aimlessly adjusters on the dash - what every one needs is, manual, separate compression and rebound adjusters that you get on real shocks

bike went mad almost straight away with two faults and jacked the rear of the bike up like a nutter - aside from meaning the disgusting seat was even more uncomfortable, it did wonders for the bikes cornering feel and handling
