Will that be their first store in Scotland?

I'm sure I heard a while ago they were going into a place in Hillington ( or maybe my minds playing tricks on me ) which is Glasgow depending exactly where you are in the estate. Can't see anything though in terms of planning permissions or building warrants but I'm fairly sure-from memory- that Hillington is defined as a economic development zone so things are a bit more relaxed relatively speaking. The estate already has Ducati, Triumph, H-D and Kawasaki (AMR?) plus car dealers and general garages so will be interesting to see if they do indeed end up there.

Or maybe they will just disprove me totally and be setting somewhere completely different!

Thank you! I went to high school in Penilee next door to Hillington, when it was all one industrial unit after another servicing Rolls Royce, and so I know where you are talking about fairly well.

Very handy for the pie shop (Baynes Bakers), far better (and cheaper) than Greggs ;)

Not the best position geographically, to provide an option for the rest of Scotland?
It's good news they are establishing an outlet in Scotland - but something to the east side of Glasgow may have been a more "central" postion for those who will have to travel?

I imagine they look at the location of existing dealers when selecting a site and hope that a significant proportion of those kicking tyres or twiddling thumbs during a service will pop in to buy some gloves etc.

Indeed it is, never did get around to updating that I had located the site after a comment elsewhere and a spot of scouting about. Not quite where I'd have guessed as a site, kind of buried down one of the streets rather than visible to passing traffic like Triumph and Ducati are but I suppose that might have cost more money-which ultimately customers pay for in prices. Might have to fit in a wee visit next week, purely for research you understand  Pray for my wallet...

There’s half of fuck all dealers (of any interest) around that spot.

But I may visit next time I need a helmet as I ordered online from them and took a chance a couple of years ago. Luckily it fitted ok.

Looks like they open on Monday.
They are doing a try on or buy thing where they will ship to Glasgow store for next day.......handy for me if planning to be down that way, Helmets + Clothing etc 👍👍Screenshot_20240707_164844_BlueMail.jpg

Just been to SBS in Glasgow. Quite surprised to see the same wee ginger that works in Birmingham!! Just temporary he tells me……….they all say that! 😬
