Spot lamp wiring

I have a pair of Bikevis aux spot lamps which I took off my last bike and I have mounted above the fog lamps on my 1200 GSA.
I would like to wire them into the high beam.
Should I splice the wires into into the high beam loom or run the wires into one of those aux sockets under the headlamp that I disconnected the 12 volt power outlet from.
I would rather not run another seperate switch for the spots as it would be nice to be able to flick the high beam switch and the spots came on too.

I also need to come to grips with fitting spots but have realized there are several other bits of electrical gadgetry that could usefully be fitted at the same time! Is this any use http://ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/384976-Fuzeblocks-FZ1 ? Vaguely recall device on NN website which enables existing switches to 'double-up' on functionality. Just a thought....

They need a relay to avoid the Canbus throwing a wobbly at the extra power demand.
You could wire them via an LED dimmer then bypass that with a relay switched by main beam. They'll then only dazzle when you want them to.
