Probably because China does not have or recognise copyright laws. I know both BMW and Rolls Royce have tried and failed to sue for copyright issues in the past and failed.
I think Land Rover managed to win in the Evoque case?

I was chatting to an owner of a company yesterday who makes specialist performance bits for bikes in alloy or Ti
All engineered to do a job and perform
He answered my call at 5.22pm on a Friday(the website said they closed at 5pm)
I enquired about an item that was out of stock on their website and he said he had some (give him a minute and he would alter his website’s availability)
I asked about another part in Ti, which wasn’t showing and he said he removed most of the Ti, due to price rises, but still had what I wanted on the shelf & just buy the Aprillia one and he will swap it to the part for my bike, just add a note on the order page
So I bought them online, whilst on the phone and he would ship Monday

He was bemoaning the Chinese copying his engineered parts and then making them from
Monkey metal and then not adding specialised coatings to harden and prevent wear
But people buy the crap because it’s cheap and not durable
I just hope there's not much Chinese made stuff on aircraft
If the exterior appearance of the bikes are copied so authentically, its reasonable to assume the internals are too. This could be an issue in a few years - you need a critical engine part but have no idea whether it's the real OEM part, or a Chinese copy. It could be a very expensive mistake to make.
There was a documentary on this very subject regarding counterfeit aircraft parts a few years agoI just hope there's not much Chinese made stuff on aircraft
they said then it was becoming harder to trace the origin of these parts ,so now it’s almost impossible.
I find that a little scary, I'm not a happy flyer at the best of times.
A relative of mine is a marine engineer in Rotterdam. He was telling me about Chinese made anchor chains breaking and causing much concern. It seems that in order to save a few quid the shipping companies have been buying the Chinese tat instead of the Swedish/German made equipment and are now finding out the true meaning of 'buy cheap, buy twice'
