Not mine or anyone I know of, but a reasonable price if it is all as the seller says.

There's this one near me; been on for ages so don't know if still available:

It’s a nostalgia thing still a great bike but has each new model comes along they improve and the R100GS became old, then they become a little scarce and the nostalgia kicks in and people forget why they sold the thing and want one again.
My friend did exactly the same spent a fortune on a total rebuild by Mikey and it’s a beautiful thing which now sits in his garage only coming out when I ride it.
Yep, had seen that one. Thanks, but too nice for me - I'm toying with the idea of an mildly modified adventure build/special and messing with that that would be a waste.
I guess I'm after some sort of Paralever as I've already got one or two bits to suit. Not even certain if it has to be a GS, but if a suitable one does turn up it at least needs to be the earlier version - I struggle with the weird indicator switch set up of the later ones and don't want the weighty bullbars/screen set up. In no rush - no storage/garage space at the moment in any event...
Newer models are no allways better
I sort of agree. I bought an R1100GS in 1995 from Slocombes - their demonstrator, about a year old. I had it for 11 years, thinking it was the 'bees knees'. I'd never owned an airhead prior to that - I'd had a pair of K100RS over 8 years from 1987. I thought the airheads were very old hat. But in 2009 I bought an R90/6 as I wanted a classic (I really wanted an R90S but back then I couldn't justify the extra expense). In 2015 I found an R90S I could afford. I've accumulated one or 2 other airheads since then and just enjoy riding them and looking after them. My R100GS has finally proven itself as a successor to my R1200GS LC (!). It's not a better bike at all. But it is the better bike for me at this point in life.
...couldn't agree more ... at this time in my life too

Have you seen this one? Tempted myself, but it would take me in a different and more costly direction to the current plan for My 80 outfit.
