Cost was £220+VAT for all the panels (beak, tank cover, side panels and aluminium side bits)............

£249.95 to paint all six panels (any single colour)
Two colours £25.00 extra per set.

Nice job - looks like you got a bargain - compared to scottieland, anyway. :thumb

Why let the facts get in the way of a good quote.......?

Tobers paid £220.00 PLUS VAT which equals £258.50........

Our price for the same job, as stated, INCLUDES VAT.........

The devil is in the detail, Motormouth......... :D

thought you might have gone for vodaphone red ? :)

Now according to my calculations the bargain is in Scotland as £220 plus VAT is £258.50

Not wishing to get involved in the pricing argument, but Dutch is cheaper if you add VAT to the price I got mine for, but I didn't pay postage. However, Tobinators Ltd paid for mine so the VAT doesn't apply :D

However I did lose a significant portion of my life expectancy trying to exit from the Autocosmetix place (by the BP garage on the A3 southbound just before the A31 turnoff) as the slip road is too short and it was f.busy as well.

Anyway, I'm jolly pleased with it. Orange would be too KTM-like but would probably look quite nice.

I saw this first hand today at Vines, and have to say it does look pretty cool.

Of course if you'd bought a red one then you wouldnt have had to spend time and effort making your gs look good :)

colour change

Tobers are charge you £350 to put it back to yellow which aint bad considering grey has devalued it by a grand

How's that............?

Considering that BMW themselves make a grey 1200GS...albeit a slightly different shade to Tobers......

From personal experience (like 30 years worth) custom paint jobs on BMW's neither significantly enhance or reduce the resale value of the bike....provided the colours are in keeping with the bike......

Sure, dealers take a sharp intake of breath when you go to P/X a custom painted bike......but as I always sell my bikes privately (assuming some fekker doesn't pinch it first)....a custom paint job has always proved a positive if not unique selling point...whereas a shabby 'original' paintjob will inevitably put potential customers off.

I painted my second 1200GS in BMW Fjord Grey......slightly lighter to Tobers' finish....which in my opinion looks the dog's danglies......the yellow graphic a perfect finishing touch.......

Impressive paint job, love the graphics. When my red bits get tired I'm going to do the same but in metallic black.

Nice job....... :thumb

When i've been a good boy, and saved up enough points with Mrs. Dastardly ( :bow ) i'll be getting me a 1200, and a paint job will do very nicely.
