Hi guys. It seems that i lost one screw bolt from the rear wheel spreayguard. There are 3 screws there attaching the spray guard to the final drive. Do you know the size of thise screws? I lost the long top one.

Thanks

I would just lose the whole thing mate. They are bloody useless and only there to conform to German TUV standards.

I'll be fitting a rear hub cover soon so if you remind me you can have the screws :D

Before you search

You might want to pull the guard and check the missing bolt isn't snapped off. Mine did so I chucked the whole piss.

Just as others said lose it bloody thing gets in the way, also you can check tyre over a lot easier too :thumb

Make yourself a little alloy plate to fit below the brake calliper and put a large headed screw in the third hole. The bike will look like it never had a spray guard.

You will also need a fender extender below the number plate but you wont get so much cak thrown over your legs.

That is exactly what happened... damn.. that bolt was under no pressure at all. what kind of quality is this?

I ordered a new bolt and now i have to find a way to remove that broken piece.

Drill it out and tap the hole either helicoil or larger thread size. Even better forget the spray guard, Araldite a screw head over broken bit and put blank screws in the other unused holes.

Mine snapped off.. Managed to grab it from the back with long nosed pliers and turn the remaining bit out quite easily ;)

I just managed to remove the broken off stub of mine with a small G clamp on both ends to wind it out - there wasn't quite enough for pliers to get a purchase on. Might be a useful tip for someone!
