Hi All,
A small plea for assistance please.

Bike: 2018 R1200GS Rallye TE

Could anyone please tell me the make of the spring-loaded front footpegs.
It's the ones with the rubber inserts that when you stand up or put pressure on them they compress into the footpeg exposing the jagged edges of the OEM Enduro footpeg.
I hope I have described them ok..............
Many thanks in anticipation.

BMW sell them made by gilles

I want to add that the HP ones allow more lean angle because the sliders are thinner and the pegs can be set one additional notch higher...Otherwise the bronze/black ones are pretty much the same except that the edges on these are sharper and I guess more off-road oriented.,,Either way way better and less prone to vibration than the cheaper stock pegs...Definitely worth the money and beautifully made...THe man himself,Rossi himself has all his stuff (pegs,clip-ons,triple clamps, levers) made by Gilles Tooling.Absolutely gorgeous stuff !

Thanks for the additional info :thumb2 :thumb2 :thumb2

And the bronze ones have three different height settings. Not sure about the black ones? They look good and feel better.

fitted mine last night. really nice looking and feel comfier.

they sit lower than the standard ones.

in the bottom hole the side stand bar touches the bottom of your foot, it was a bit off putting and I didnt want to modify it, so I raised the pegs to the middle hole.

in the middle setting they are approx 20mm lower than standard.

Hi DR268,

I'm just a tad confused (not difficult lol). Are your bronze footpegs the BMW Gilles ones..........?

Black ones have two.

Looks like the black have 3 holes aswell.

mine are marked BMW motorrad and have the Gilles logo on top.

the following thread explains them well and generally give a good review

mine have 3 positions, have seen them advertised in bronze or black, I assumed both are the same except colour but could be wrong.

The black ones are no longer available from BMW. I bought mine a couple of weeks ago after ringing around several dealers, and there were about 2 other sets left in the country.

The black one's definitely have 3 holes, I have them.

Good evening Guys,

Many thanks for all your posts, they have been very helpful and most informative for me. Great forum :thumb2 :thumb2 :thumb2

My black BMW branded Giles ones, along with several others, developed cracks and failed.

Had the same problem along with a pal although they will replace them under warranty definitely not for off road use
