St.Eptoe headguards

Went to visit the gsshop.biz from the link at the top of page and Google Chrome advised that there is malware on the site!!

Has it been hacked or is google getting it's knickers in a twist over some innocent script?

Sure I have been there before but not on this netbok

My AVG protection on Firefox was saying the same thing...
It claims that the site had been reported as a source of malware in the last 6 months...

No virus warnings for me when I visit - bought a few things from Steptoe in the past.

Price, not astronomical like TT extortion, however everyone suffers from the fact that any low volume cast parts are expensive to make.:thumb2

Google is getting it's knickers in a twist. The shop has very high security to keep nigerians at bay.

Judge is the shop webmiester and is looking into it, but there is nothing to worry about.

I'm sure you are right, not a dangerous site...the problem is that protection software will prevent site access, or make access
Cumbersome at the very least...

Malware, and watchin' the shop

am still watching the shop for any arrival of 'headguards'; nothing there at present...

But I too got the 'page has been attacked' message, so ignored it and proceeded to the shop no problem...

Just letting the Administrator know that we still get the warning message...

Cheers:beerjug:

I'm new to BMWs so I had a look at the gsshop.biz.

Do I need to register to look in the shop? All I can ever see are discs and pads.

Getting offending files removed from site - easy

Getting google to accept you've done it - far less easy

Getting OScommerce to plug the fekkin holes to stop a reoccurrence - FEKKIN IMPOSSIBLE!!!! :banghead: :forry :firemth

Have a look at Magento. It's what I use now for most clients when they want an online shop.

Knowing what I now know I wouldn't touch OScommerce with a barge pole, open source bollix is what it is.

Cubecart or some other commercial grade shop without question.

I have 7 of these and frankly its all getting a bit tedious :blast

Give Magento a bash. It's very nice. Complicated but worth the investment in time.

update

Hi All

Am noit overly concerned, but whereas before I got a warning on th eGS Shop home-page, now it does not load - I just the URL at page top, and what looks like a white-out!

Am I alone, or are yo all seeing the same?

Christmas greetings, from sunny SA - 23 degrees today (sorry:augie)
Cheers

All working now, servers froze in our Arctic temps! ;-)

2012...

I reckon these guards are going to materialise in 2012 - sometime - I've just got to be patient:augie
