Looks like I might have the green light in the future on an exhaust header and a remap if all goes to plan and the overtime keeps on coming (that is if I don't spend it on the house). The question is which one. There are various makes of headers available all between the £300 to £500 mark for stainless and a circa £600 for the Akrapovic Ti headers. I plan to keep the standard silencer to keeps things a bit quiet for the sake of comfort and cost. Apart from the obvious weight advantage what else does the Ti offer over the Stainless headers? Does the Stainless headers turn a brownish colour like on the R1100S or similarly equipped bikes? And also which make is recommended, quality, fitment and stuff like that?

Once it is all done I hope to give it the beans :D:D:D

I hope that this will be an informative thread so future buyers can research their choice by reading the sensible replies on here :aidan seriously.

Akra headers, every time for me.:thumb

I went stainless, and they go brown, which I like, but the titanium headers go a blue colour. You can get the titanium ones from Italy on eBay for not much more than you can get the stainless ones in the UK. Wish I knew that when I got mine, but I'm not losing sleep over it!

I had stainless akro on my WC, now If I were buying some again it would have to be titanium for the bling factor, they do look lovely once they go blue.

Mine on my TC are stainless and the WC are titanium .
