Good question Jon, the large rack is 380mm at it's widest, so if yourself or somebody with the Ali panniers could throw a tape measure across.

Rack Extension

For all those who have shown an interest in Reyno's Rack extension etc. He is having mega computer problems (old system, old anti virus, family of Trojans ) he is processing orders as fast as he can but asked me to put an apology on if he doesnt reply to requests right away...

Think he'll have to invest in a new computer soon!

Got my rack this morning... very pleased with the quality, well made and I think it looks pretty good.
I opted for the larger size and decided to remove the grabrail to maximise the carrying capacity (and also as SWMBO won't get on the back yet!).

As you can see... system cases fit OK but don't know about the ali ones.
