The round-headed bolts securing my front disk on my 1150GS are a horrible brown colour - I think it's called rust, apparently a standard finish on many GS bolts..... I'm looking to get them replaced with Stainless steel ones. Anyone know a source and the torque settings? Thanks

just ordered a complete full bike set of A4 stainless from steptoe at gsshop.co.uk cost £54 inc insured postage if you want to splash the cash
regards bisbee

Too brittle - really? What have others done in replacing/improving these bolts as they are a bit of an eyesore now :(

I have used the steptoe kit for 2years & 30+thousand miles with no problems.

I should clarify - I'm not knocking the kits themselves, they're excellent and my bike is dripping with Steptoe's stainless steel! Just querying ss on brake discs/calipers. :thumb
