Having just cleaned up the pin on the ADV's rear caliper for the third time in 2 weeks - looked like it hadn't been touched in months - it occurs to me that no amount of emery cloth and copper grease is going to be effective on salt-encrusted roads.
I did a search for SS caliper pins on the site, but drew a blank (I think Vern posted that he was working on some, but it wasn't mentioned again). I rang Motorworks, but their supplier gave up when BMW introduced several different types of caliper (introduction of EVO brakes etc). Motobins reckon they'll probably have some in in a month or so (after the salt has gone

Anybody know of anywhere else I might try? It's the rear one which is worst - it's the type which is fixed in with a circlip (my bike's a 2002 non-ABS, non-servo ADV).
They look like the kind of thing an engineering shop could knock up quite quickly and cheaply - I'm really surprised no-one seems to have picked up the ball on this one...
