Has anyone fitted a StainTune Exhaust from Australia ?
usual Q
Quality fueling etc
cheers ian

Not sure if you would need to alter the fuelling, but the fit and finish of the Staintune is first class. :thumb

Fueling issues are all sorted by the bikes ECU so you won't need to adjust anything.

Staintune quality is very good, a few mates have them on their VFR VTEC'S and one geezer on his st1300 all sound top job as well ;)

Had one on my last VFR Vtec, class product however not cheap. If I remember rightly they do have removable baffles but the can is not "E" marked in any way due to its origin which may be a problem for some. I always used mine with the baffles out, never found it too loud, just a fantastic sound.:D

fantastic qulaity and awsome, if a bit loud sound! Word of warning though they seem to play around with the diameter of the pipes so new headers i ordered from them didnt fit the OE BM silencer.....nor did they fit the Staintune 'silencer' provided seperately! I ended up with Remus downpipe and the staintune silencer. It seems from Woodys that you need a whole system from them to get the front pipes and silence. Confused? i was!

Cheers all
just want to get rid of the cat as removing the one on my 1100S transformed the throttle responce.
Plus not very impressed with the quality of the chrome down pipes, and the staintune appears to be rare on the GS.

Here's one I prepared earlier......................

Yep - just got the can on mine.
Really like it. Much lighter and slimmer, quality finish, fruity note (baffle in or out) and noticeably more punch in the mid range.
Cheaper than the OEM to replace:thumb2

I have the end can fitted without the end baffle and while it has made the off-idle throttle a little 'fluffy' it is way better in the mid-range. Lovely note just makes you want to play with the throttle. Putting the whole system on does make it a lot louder though without the restriction of the cat. Funny thing about the off-idle softness, if I run on premium fuel it is there but if I use a lower octane fuel the off-idle bit is gone but it is harsher in the mid-range. Not a great deal of weight saving with just the muffler though. I was actually surprised at how light the BMW muffler was.
