I think he may have been referring to the drag caused by air resistance :D

Ah....in that case he might just be onto something.... :D Not to worry, it wasn't exactly a streamlined bike in the first place... :D

Hmmmm!

Interesting result:

It seems all is in the eye of the beholder.....?

Had an idea after I got the lusty, trusty, rusty Saxo back from a service and MOT: The dip cut-off was clearly visible some 15-20 yards up the road.
How I am I supposed to drive at 70 mph like that?
So far I have gradually backed out the vertical adjustment on the headlamps 3 full turns (Don't worry - there's an electronic control inside to compensate for fat biffas in the back seats, so I can compensate if I go too far) and now I can see cats eyes and plates and reflectors on other vehicles.
Spec's in my car manual says dip beam should be 1-2 degrees below horizontal.
You can check this (with an accomplice) by sitting on the bike, measuring the height of the centre of the headlamp dip-unit from the ground, marking it on a wall and backing up 30 yards.
Between 1 and 2 bricks below the mark is okay, lower or higher is wrong.

You probably all knew that and still think your lights are crap though?
