I'm prepping my bike for its new owner , and removing the Wilbers, and putting the standard 1200 shocks back on it....

I've got the rubber washer with the ally spacer as per the photo....Is it supposed to go on the top of the headstock , with the threaded part of the top of the front shock poking through it?

When I tighten the nut down there seems to be a little play as though there is a spacer missing... there's nothing under the headstock on the top of the shock if you see what I mean

Have I missed something?

Are you wanting to move these on at a reasonable price?:aidan
Err I mean the shocks not the rubber washer and spacer!:hide

It's not uncommon for the rubber to stay attached to the inside of the subframe when the shock is removed, only to fall out and disappear prior to the new shock being fitted into place. DAMHIK.

I reckon that must be what happened...... Anyway.. rang the nice people at Motorworks on Monday morning for a new rubber bush thing... it arrived yesterday......and the original shock is now fitted how it should be :beerjug::beer:
