hi lads,

just bought some zega tt panniers and frames,.

currently fitted is a Y piece and remus revolution end can
left hand pannier rail wont fit over the remus can, so having to original silencer in the shed im going to swap them over.

Do i need to refit the cat?? or will it be ok with the Y piece left on

or do i just try and widen the exhaust exit point on the frames??

fit the cat and a stubby.

+1. It gives you better low down torque than the full set-up, increases low rev flexibility, allows you to use a full size left pannier and my one with that set up was returning almost 60mpg cruising at around 65 mph on a recent big trip.

Where might one acquire such a stubby and what's the noise level.tone like with it in place of the original lump?

Hello Padowan
I doubt will will notice the difference in sound running with just the stubby. Had mine on for 4 years now :thumb Just think off all that fuel I saved not carrying 5kg of silencer. :D :augie

+1 to what Packer said. :thumb

first ride out today with the standard can back on and the y piece.

hell of a lot quieter than the remus:nenau, which not sure i prefer but pulled ok and didnt seem to be much difference performance wise ( i only done maybe 20 miles)

off to striling this weekend so guess if there is much difference il notice it then

now do i sell or keep the remus

It will backfire occasionally when changing down. The cat restricts breathing and is really heavy, the original silencer is straight through.;)
