Had been thinking about some Rocker cover protection for a while after selling my crash bars that were fitted to my GS Adventure. The bars were good and I think for instances of "Topple over" they can save a tremendous amount of damage.
I have always had a niggle in the back of my head though about how they would perform in a spill at anything other than walking pace or when stationary.
So......what to do about some extra protection now the crash bars had gone. The flimsey plastic things fitted as standard would perform about as good as a one legged man in an arse kicking competition.
I did a search and saw the Touratit ones, I held my breath when I thought the Great Steptoe was going to produce some, but when that didn`t happen I decided on the impressive looking "Stanton" Head guards.
After being dissapointed that no reply came from a PM sent to a guy selling them on this site I decided to make contact directly with Mr stanton of Pheonix Arizona.
Nothing could have been easier, after my order was sent a reply came in five days to confirm receipt and this morning, just ten days from my original order I have just signed the paper on the clipboard from the Fed Ex man. Them Guards do look a sturdy pice of kit when you hold `em in your hands I must say. The cost for any body wondering was $199.95 plus $54.67 shipping, not bad in my opinion.
Well just to fit `em now. They come supplied with a new set of bolts, fitting instructions and a proper Alen key. Will post a picture for ya` later in the week.
