starcom 1 advance

Can anyone please tell me the best place to install the starcom 1 adv???the unit needs to be easily accessible and removable its about the size of a credit card and about an 1 inch thick
also were is a suitable point for power?? ideally from the ignition or the lighting circuit and what coulour are the wires?? many thanks in advance>

The unit fits nicely in the tool tray under the riders seat. I found an old compat camera pouch/case to keep mine warm and dry in there.

You can power it directly from the battery, using the inline fuse supplied, as it only switches itself on and draws current once a headset is plugged into lead number 1. If you're not comfortable with this, the easiest place in the vicinity to find switched power is the green and blue wire that goes into the black plastic plug with twist off cap that you'll find toward the rear of the underseat area. You should try the Starcom bluetooth 'phone kit btw. Works wonderfully well!
