Just fitted the Starcom Advance on my GS-A and have the following issues:

Best place to install......does anyone know because I can`t find a really secure place under the seat?

When I tried it, everything works perfectly (phone and zumo) but when the I-pod is on, it kept going very quiet. On closer inspection, if I lightly tap the bike, the volume drops as if it thinks a call is coming in but the volume comes back up after maybe 20 seconds. Same happens if I tap the unit directly. Obviously, when I`m moving the thing cuts out all the time:blast

There seems to be no issues with the phone and GPS which work fine.

Any ideas?

i don't put i-pod on just get a 4GB sd card and put tunes on that:guitarist

starcom advance

hi sarge, i have mine under the seat where the tool bag used to be, bit loose in there so just wrapped a cloth around it :thumb2, ahh but now , just messin with it this eveving every thing works fine sept when i make a call on it i can hear the other person perfect but they cant hear me :nenau did i do something wrong or is it a fault :(

I used to use a Starcom1 Advance (now swapped for a Baehr), but I found it could be strapped to the old manual holder at the front of the seat, above the battery quite successfully.

Mine lived there for a year without any undue issues, I velcro strapped it in place with a cable wrap piece of velcro and it never moved (I ride with the GSA seat in the upper position).

BTW ... if anyone is in the market for a Starcom1 Advance, I've still got mine sitting in a poly bag gathering dust after replacing mine ... ;-)
