Me and a few mates will be taking a couple of trips to Europe this year and planning to get the Starcom Advance mainly for bike to bike comms - question is do we go for the G7s or the recommended Kenwood UBZ does anybody have experience of either of these radios?

If your only using them for biketo bike you don't need the Starcom bit you can do it using just tha radios, headset and PTT button

An example of the set up here I've linked to the Intaride site for no other reason than I know they had a picture, I wold imagine Autocom/Starcom would do a similar set up.

I Personnally use the Intaride setup with there Wintec A80 radios and there good, my buddy use's an Autocom setup with Kenwood radios again no problems

I've used the UBZ's first with Autocom and now with Starcom.. excellent in every way..I bought the UBZ's for my kids playing around the Solent, because in a YBW comparison test they were head and shoulders above almost everything, other than VHF icom.

You'll not be disappointed

Thanks for your help I guessed the kenwoods were the way to go but had hoped to catch some Midland G5 / G7 users for their comments.
