Start saving your pennies

one of the advantages

of being my brother i guess. Flip wanted to ride it to devon for the wee-kend and as the weather was friggin awfull i let him:D

'Kin ell, he's a biggin!

Without wishing to appear rude - he makes that bike look like a moped!!!

He must be some size, I'd hate to meet him in a dark alley........

At £10k - a cheap Bike..if you want one
(an expensive Bike if you don't and as most of you don't, it will seem expensive)

If he supplied the Bike and if HPN did the work it would have cost him at least £8,000 WITHOUT the engine and gearbox work, (which was done by Andrew Sexton).

From HPN - the WP front forks cost almost £2,000 and the WP Shock £600. The Tank is £500 and the rear swing arm £800 with a further £1,000+ to mod the frame and sub frame, then brakes, wheels, tyres, exhaust

If he started with a Basic I reckon it would have cost him, £14K plus, (all up with the original Bike cost) to build the Bike if he did not do any of the work.

FFS, It's not even a mono - Might as well buy a GSA :-)

It would be interesting to see what they guy builds up next?

The mono is a nice "romantic" idea but the para is a better bike to modify in the HPN style

The Basic is a stronger Bike, it has a shorter subframe, (than the normal para), and a stronger standard frame than the mono - it is more expensive to buy these days than the 80G/S mono

Para is fine if you want and old skool/new skool GSA type HPN - if you want a light'ish weight rally machine the mono is lighter and some would say stronger plus it will jump of the line like a pouncing tiger...

Original frame streght is not important when you're paying to have it modified and same goes for the subframe, just fit a Q-Tech.

A top spec Richie Moore bike will cost around £9000 plus the donor bike and that will include one of his screaming engine

I've got a mono R80ST frame if you want to try and build one, with reg document £540 from Motobins.......£ half that from me

I have just sold my R80G/S Paris Dakar.....only 43,000 miles would have been prefect for a "Richie Moore" (??).
QTech Bikes are not built for the same purpose as HPN., (buy I don't ride em I just read about them!)

What I have just sold

I have also got a nice low miles Basic that would build into a nice HPN type Bike

It's just the camera angle.....honest :toungincheek

That's a front mounted camel back sewn into the jacket!! I thought it would be a great idea, but it really doesn't flatter me at all :D:D:D
