Hate to bring good news on the whole battery discharge issue but had mine upgraded with the new software in October. Bike was ridden home and has sat in the garage til this morning.
Got the voltmeter thing out as I half expected to stick the charger on it. 12.3v , turned key , click whirrr brum , off for a quick ride about.
