Hi, Can any one tell me if the starter motor will operate when in gear with the clutch pulled in ? Had the engine cut out at the lights wouldnt start till neutral was selected Thanks

Yes it will.

I have turned the ignition off when riding (to re-boot the Canbus) and restarted all in gear... and stalled from time to time

Check the switch at the clutch lever end. You should hear a click as it engages / disenages. If it is anything like the similar swich on the front brake lever it can crud up / move out of position etc. etc. etc.

There is a thread on how to adjust it.
