Have you got a mate who can translate your jumble of random words into a coherent sentence ?

No need to act like that in dyslexic takes alot for me to write stuff,

Went to view a bike engine was banging it's head off luckily a friend who's a trained beemer mechanic was with me so i left it. Not gonna have him on the next one i go to hopefully buy so was wondering if anyone had a sound bite of one running from cold that is ok with no dodgy noises so i know what im listening for 1150gs adventure

There is no 'one single thing' that would make a bike worth buying...

But the bike starting should be the most basic of 'tests' that it passes.

In short, if you're not mechanically competent and it has an issue starting, you might be better off looking at something else. Better still, go to a dealer, where you'll get some protection in the form of a guarantee

No worries mate :) been one of those horrendous days no way he didn't know that the big ends had gone on the one this morning, lot of messing around for a wasted trip

Rebuilt a few Norton's so know what im listening to :) just was wondering if they had any quirky noises hearing my mates answered all the questions just gotta wait for the right one now can't wait to get a 1150 though :)

Ok. So you can fix things . My summary of the start up on the 1150 probably fits a few other features of the bike (if you're comparing to jap bikes). They sound a little agricultural, no electronic whirring sounds (except maybe on the servo versions). Mechanical and a little clunky. But functional and dependable

You on Whatsapp ? Pm me your no. and I'll send you a clip of mine starting from cold.
