Have a 08 1200 gsa, parked outside house literally as fuel light came on, following day got 10l fuel but would not start, battery was old so got new one, still no joy, engine turns over but not firing. Any advice?

Takes some time to prime ..
I had to do 30 secs to 1 min when my gs sat for 3 weeks without use.. ( not continuously though)

Thanks, tried that, should have said it’s been on side stand for a day and main for a day but still showing fuel warning. Current mileage is 17.5k purchased 2019 literally as we went into lockdown ��
Last bike was 1150adv so unsure if the canbus system causes starting problems? We don’t have a BMW motorrad here anymore just other Marques an independents, so any advice before I have to fork out a fortune would be appreciated guys

Can you here the fuel pump run for a couple of seconds when the ignition is turned on.
The fuel pump will also start to run when the starter button is pressed (engine cranking) but you might not be able to here it .
The gauge and warning light do not change as soon as you add fuel normally takes a couple of minutes.
